Physical chemistry behaves much like physics. Concepts are few but applied through calculations, so progress comes from solving varied numerical problems rather than re reading theory. Build a small, reliable set of formulas, understand the assumptions behind each, and practise until the standard problem types feel routine. When you get a wrong answer, trace whether the slip was conceptual or arithmetic, since the fix for each is different and matters for steady improvement.

Organic chemistry punishes pure memorisation and rewards understanding why electrons move as they do. Once these ideas are firm, large groups of reactions become predictable rather than separate facts to recall. Draw mechanisms by hand often, because the act of pushing arrows on paper builds the intuition that recognition based reading never quite delivers.

Inorganic chemistry carries a heavier factual load, including periodic trends, bonding ideas, and properties of elements and compounds. The risk is forgetting, so the strategy is organised, spaced revision rather than one long cram. Group facts by trend and reasoning wherever possible so they connect instead of floating alone. Short, frequent review sessions hold this material in memory far more reliably than occasional marathon sittings that fade within days.
